2024 Community Enrichment Fund Grantees Announced

The Junior League of Oakland-East Bay’s Community Enrichment Fund (CEF) helps to support the critical work of nonprofit and community agencies in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
We are excited to announce the awardees of the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay’s 2024 Community Enrichment Grant.
Serenity House Oakland | Serenity House Oakland’s mission is to empower women who have experienced violence, addiction, homelessness, and incarceration to heal from trauma, transform their lives, and achieve their dreams. Grant funds will go towards assisting 10 families to receive essential move-in items including bedding, pillows, blankets, cleaning supplies, pots and pans, kitchen essentials, and more. The goal is to offer families a fresh start as they rebuild their lives after fleeing from domestic violence situations.
Lotus Bloom | Lotus Bloom’s mission is to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for traditionally underserved populations to come together as a community to provide children with a rich learning foundation. The grant will support their Multicultural Playgroups, where parents, caregivers, and kids can come together to foster bonding, social skills, and early learning preschool experiences in a structured space with free play, art, literacy, circle time, and field trips. Playgroups are offered weekly across three sites in Downtown/West Oakland, San Antonio, and East Oakland. Over 75 families attend playgroups every week to access early learning, socialization, and enrichment activities.
