What is Touch a Truck?

Join us for a fun-filled day for a great cause at our annual Touch a Truck event hosted by the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay!

Touch a Truck is a hands-on family event that gives children the chance to explore a fascinating array of vehicles — all in one place. From emergency and public service vehicles to construction equipment, utility trucks, and more, kids can climb aboard, honk horns, push buttons, and let their curiosity run wild.

Beyond the trucks, families can enjoy a full day of activities including:

  • Bounce houses & a train ride
  • Kids’ crafts, lawn and carnival games & face painting
  • Friendly farm animals
  • Local food trucks
  • Wine tasting and beverages for adults (21+)
  • A curated raffle featuring great prizes

This event is designed to be fun, interactive, and memorable for the whole family.

Touch a Truck takes place at Balestrieri Family Farm, a small, family-run farm nestled in the scenic hills of Briones in Contra Costa County.

Surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, the farm produces award-winning wines, olive oils, honey, and more. We are grateful to our friends at Balestrieri Family Farm for being an incredible partner and venue for this event.
